Shalersville Township is proposing a 2,850 feet trail be constructed through the wooded area of the park and connecting to the existing trail. As part of this project, the existing 2,350-foot gravel trail will be restored and paved for a total of 5,200 feet of walking trails (approximately 1-mile).

 

The township is conducting a wetland survey to determine any potential impacts. The project is not expected to impact threatened and endangered species; however, efforts will be made to avoid potential impacts during the nesting months.
