Shalersville Historical Society Museum

The Shalersville Historical Society was formed in May 2004 with two goals in mind.  First, the Society is collecting items of historical relevance/interest to the residents of Shalersville.  Second, members of the Society worked diligently with the Shalersville Bicentennial Committee preparing for the township's Bicentennial Celebration August 4-6, 2006.

The Society's headquarters and museum are located in the house built by Samuel Eldridge in the 1840s.  The house is located just northeast of the intersection of Ohio State Routes 44 and 303.  As can be seen from the above photograph, restoration of the house is a work in progress.

The Society's museum was dedicated July 30, 2006 as a prelude to Shalersville's Bicentennial Celebration.
